A chance of freezing precipitation is in the Twin Lakes’ forecast for Monday morning and other times throughout the week. A winter weather advisory is in effect for Baxter, Marion, Fulton, Searcy, Boone and Newton counties in North Central Arkansas until noon and for Southern Missouri until 6 p.m.
Meteorologist John Lewis says a weak storm is moving into the area from the southern plains.

The current conditions have forced some area schools to call off classes for Monday. Lewis says motorists will need to be mindful of the possibility of travel hazards.
