Arkansas’ senior member of the United States Senate has announced his intention to run for reelection. Republican Senator John Boozman said Saturday he will seek a third term in the 2022 midterm election.
In his statement, Boozman said, “Now more than ever Arkansas needs strong, conservative leadership in Washington. I am proud to be that leader.”
Boozman serves as a ranking member for the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry and as a member of the Senate Veterans’ Affairs Committee.
Boozman was first elected to the Senate in 2010 after representing Arkansas’ third district in the House of Representatives. He was reelected in 2016.
