High school basketball dominates the local Wednesday schedule, as Mountain Home’s boys will be on the campus of Hot Springs World Class High School for their opener in the Class 5A State Tournament. The Bombers’ opening opponent will be Hot Springs Lakeside.
Mountain Home comes into the game with a record of 10-13. The Bombers advanced to the championship game of the 5A-West District Tournament before falling to Russellville on Thursday, and they enter the state tournament as the conference’s second-seeded team.
It has been an up-and-down season for Mountain Home, with players being out with an injury and others being quarantined due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Bombers’ head coach Josh Fulcher says the team showed its resiliency by getting through those issues and advancing to the state tournament.
