Another Mountain Home High School senior will be taking his athletic talents to the collegiate level. Drue Lindsey signed a national letter of intent on Wednesday to join the wrestling program at the University of the Ozarks.
Lindsey says his decision to become an Eagle came after going to the Clarksville campus and visiting with head coach LeRoy Gardner and his staff, but he knows he will have to work his way up through the program.
Listen:
Lindsey is coming off a season in which he helped the Bombers win the 5A-East conference title, and the team later ended up as the Class 5A state runners-up. Individually, he won the conference title and finished second in the state’s 113-pound weight class.
Wrestling is not the only winter sport Lindsey has participated in. He is also a part of Mountain Home’s basketball program, and he says it was a plus having the support of the basketball coaches, while he also took part in wrestling.

Drue Lindsey is the son of Libby Lindsey of Mountain Home.
