On March 16, 2020, Baxter Regional Medical Center joined KTLO, Classic Hits & The Boot news to issue an update on the COVID-19 pandemic as spread began across the nation.

That partnership would lead to more than 125 live appearances during 7 a.m. news broadcasts, first on a daily, then a weekly basis, to alert Twin Lakes Area residents of the dangers of COVID-19. Those updates were meant to provide a streamlined flow of information from Baxter Regional as the facility made its way through each stage of the pandemic.

Barney Larry, Vice President of Business Development at BRMC and Executive Director of Baxter Regional Hospital Foundation, says the updates were vital for the public.
