The Baxter County Quorum Court will meet Tuesday. The meeting will be held at 6 in the second-floor courtroom of the Baxter County Courthouse.
Some of the items on the May agenda include the first reading of an ordinance revising the county’s personnel policy and the establishment of a special revenue fund to house federal assistance delivered to the county through the American Rescue Plan Act.
Justices of the peace will also consider an ordinance that establishes a $5,000 minimum for equipment to be listed on the county’s inventory system as a fixed asset. This change in inventory practices has been requested by the Legislative Joint Auditing Committee.
Also on the agenda the appointments of Gary Smith to the Grover Township Fire Protection District Board of Commissioners and Philip Rice to the Baxter County Equalization Board.
