It’s tassel-turning time for Mountain Home High School’s senior class.Mountain Home will graduate 290 seniors Friday night at 8 p.m. at Bomber Stadium.
Superintendent Dr. Jake Long says this year’s graduation ceremony will be similar in setup to the one held for 2020 graduates in July.

Long says the school district anticipates that it will have some extra graduation tickets to give to those who wish to attend the ceremony but do not already have a ticket from a graduating senior. Those without a ticket but wishing to attend Friday night should contact the high school office and get their name placed on the ticket list.
Since the ceremony will be held outdoors, face masks will not be required and that decision will be left up to the attendees.
In the event of rain, graduation will be rescheduled for 8 p.m. Saturday night at the stadium.
Long says this year’s graduating class is one of the highest-achieving classes in recent memory. The class has earned more than $3.6 million in college credit or scholarships.

Mountain Home will recognize 30 Summa Cum Laude graduates, 35 Magna Cum Laude graduates, and 19 Cum Laude graduates Friday night. Summa Cum Laude honors requires a GPA higher than a 4.0, Magna Cum Laude honors requires a GPA between 3.75 and 4.0, and Cum Laude honors requires a GPA between 3.5 and 3.7499.
