6 area residents among most recent round of governor appointments

Six area residents were reappointed to state committees or boards by Gov. Asa Hutchinson on Wednesday. The reappointments were part of an announcement of 75 appointments issued by the governor.

Glennis Sharp of Cotter was reappointed to the Technology Equipment Revolving Loan Fund Committee. Her new term expires June 30, 2023.

Two area residents, Donald Ragland of Marshall and Dr. James Zini of Mountain View, will return to the State Board of Health. Both of their new terms will expires on Dec. 31, 2024.

Sue Coon of Melbourne was reappointed to the Advisory Council of the Arkansas Arts Council. Her new term on the council expires June 30, 2024.

Chelsea Conway of Ash Flat was reappointed to the Tobacco Prevention Cessation Advisory Committee. Her appointment expires Oct. 1, 2024.

Brenda Fendley of Marshall was reappointed to the Keep Arkansas Beautiful Commission. Her term expires Jan. 14, 2027.
