The Chuck Morton Memorial Junior Golf Championship came to an end Friday at Big Creek Golf and Country Club.
Easton Denney and Will Gordon ended up sharing the boys’ title after both golfers ended up with a two-day total of one-under-par 143. Denney took the 16-to-18 age group, and Gordon was at the top of the 14-and-15 leaderboard. Terrance Kempson won the 12-and-13 age group with a 157, and Jeanlutz Yang won 10-and-11 division with an 85.
After sharing the lead after the first round, Maggie Huett pulled away for the girls’ championship with a total of 148. She ended up at the top of the 16-to-18 age group. Yinyoe Yang won the 14-and-15 division with a 150, and Liza McIlvoy took the 12-and-13 age group with a 174.
