A 47-year-old Marshall man, who sustained moderate injuries in a Missouri motorcycle crash in mid-June, was seriously injured Wednesday night when he wrecked his motorcycle in Phelps County, Missouri.
Eric D. McClurg was transported to University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia via air ambulance after the crash on I-44 at the 185 westbound off ramp. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports McClurg’s motorcycle went into a skid, traveled off the left side of the roadway, overturned and ejected him.
McClurg’s first motorcycle accident came on June 15 at Meramec State Park near Sullivan, Missouri, when he was traveling too fast for conditions of the roadway and failed to negotiate a left turn. The motorcycle went into a skid, fell on its side and struck a guardrail. McClurg was flow via air ambulance to Mercy Hospital in St. Louis for injuries sustained in that crash.
