A Missouri woman pled guilty to drug-related charges and was sentenced to six years probation during a session of Baxter County Circuit Court Thursday.

Forty-nine-year-old Anicia Wilson was arrested in mid-September 2019 after the vehicle in which she was riding was pulled over for an equipment violation by an Arkansas State Police trooper.

The trooper found an empty cigarette package after Wilson exited the vehicle. A small plastic bag inside the package was reported to contain suspected methamphetamine.

According to the probable cause affidavit, the trooper warned Wilson if she had other illegal substances in her possession when she entered the Baxter County Detention Center, she would be charged with a felony.

She denied having anything illegal. However, a jail matron found packages of methamphetamine and marijuana during a body search done as part of the booking process.

Wilson’s charges included two counts of drug possession and attempting to sneak drugs into the jail.

She listed several addresses in Missouri on court documents. In one, she listed herself at homeless.

The male driver of the vehicle was found to have an active warrant issued in Howell County, Missouri. The warrant was based on a failure to appear in court on charges of simultaneous possession of firearms and drugs.

He was extradited to Howell County.
