The Lakeview-Midway Public Water Authority has issued a precautionary boil water order for several of its customers. The order is for anyone living in Lakeview in the area southwest of Ramsgate Road.
The order was issued after a main water-line break and a loss in normal system pressure.
All water used for cooking or drinking must be boiled briskly for at least one minute. The boil order will remain in effect until the problem has been corrected and an adequate disinfectant level is established throughout the system and a bacteriological survey shows that the water is safe to drink.
The Lakeview-Midway Public Water Authority will notify customers when the order is lifted by the Arkansas Department of Health.
