High school football makes up much of the local Friday schedule as Mountain Home has its first road test of the season. The Bombers will be back in Jonesboro as they meet up with Nettleton.

Mountain Home comes into the game with a record of 0-1. The Bombers started the season last week with a seven-point loss to Harrison. Nettleton is currently 1-0 on the year. The Raiders started their season two weeks ago by shutting out Blytheville.

Mountain Home head coach Steve Ary says this game is a win the team needs to pick up.

Kickoff at Raider Field is scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday’s game can be heard on Classic Hits 101.7 and streaming live at ktlo.com. Radio coverage begins around 5:30 with Electric Cooperatives of Arkansas High School Gameday. Fans can also view the game live on the Bomber Sports Network channel on YouTube.

Yellville-Summit is back on the road for its final non-conference game of the regular season. The Panthers will be near the Missouri bootheel for a matchup with Corning.

Yellville-Summit has a mark of 1-1 on the season. The Panthers went to Ola last Friday and came away with an easy win over Two Rivers. Corning is currently 0-1. The Bobcats suffered a four-touchdown loss last week at Cave City.

Yellville-Summit head coach Justin Crain says a win would give the team momentum as they enter the 2A-4 in two weeks, and one of the main things the team will need to make that happen is low pad-level playing from the offensive and defensive lines.
