
The Mountain Home seventh and eighth grade cross country teams were across the state line on Thursday and came back with a good showing. Both teams finished second in the Willow Springs Open.
Mountain Home’s boys were led by Trenton Smith who took third place with a time of 9:27. Gus Wilber crossed the line in 11th place, Garrett Barr was 13th, Landon Horne ended up 20th, and Will Rauls finished 21st.
Jayla Yonkers led the Mountain Home girls with a fifth place finish in 11:03. Lucy Koehn took eighth place, Cicely Goettler was 10th, Mary McConnell ended up 25th, and Haley Kotlicky finished 26th. Koehn and Goettler ran personal bests of 11:48 and 11:54 respectively.
