The biggest sporting event in the history of amateur fishing is coming to Bull Shoals Lake next month. Bass Pro Shops will hold the Last Chance Qualifying Event Nov. 17 at the Lead Hill Public Use Area.

Registration will open Wednesday at 10 a.m. and will last exactly 24 hours. After registration, 250 two-person amateur teams will be randomly drawn to compete in the event.

The top 36 finishers from the tournament will qualify to fish the Bass Pro Shops US Open National Bass Fishing Amateur Team Championship on Nov. 19 at Big Cedar Lodge on Table Rock Lake. The national championship will be an international broadcast and feature 350 teams. Over $4 million in cash and prizes will be up for grabs at the national championship. The grand prize is the largest payout in fishing tournament history at $1 million.

The tournament is open to amateur anglers owning a Tracker, Ranger, Nitro, Triton, Sun Tracker, Tahoe or MAKO brand boat. Anglers who have competed in a previous 2021 Bass Pro Shops US Open qualifying event are not eligible.
