After being tied at halftime, Mountain Home outscored the Panthers 28-7 in the second half to post a 42-21 victory. The Bombers scored on every possession in the second half and only allowed Siloam Springs 24 yards of offense in the fourth quarter.

It was the Panthers who struck first in the game, going 71 yards in just five plays on the game’s first drive and taking a 7-0 lead on a 28-yard touchdown pass from Hunter Tally to Johathan Graves.

Mountain Home would tie the score midway through the first period. After blocking a punt and recovering the ball at the 2-yard line, Gage Lindsey would need just one play to find the end zone to make it 7-7.

Siloam Springs went up 14-7 on a touchdown pass from Tally to Brendan Lashley, but Mountain Home would tie the game on a 29-yard touchdown pass from Brady Barnett to Blake Bentley with 43 seconds left in the first half.

The second half started with a bang, when Brody Patterson returned the opening kickoff 91 yards for a touchdown.

Siloam Springs tied the game at 21, but it would be all Bombers from that point on.

Mountain Home scored on an 8-yard pass play from Barnett to Lindsey, and Lindsey would add touchdown runs of 1 and 24 yards. The Bomber defense meanwhile had back-to-back three-and-outs.

Lindsey finished the game with three rushing and one receiving touchdowns and 81 rushing yards. Barnett rushed for 95 and threw for 133.

Mountain Home improves to 3-5 on the season and 2-3 in the 6A West. Siloam Springs falls to 1-7 and 0-5.

The Bombers will travel to Russellville next week.
