Arvest Bank announces 10 ‘We Love Teachers’ winners

YELLVILLE, Ark. — Arvest Bank has announced 10 teachers in North Central Arkansas have been awarded $500 prizes as part of its annual “We Love Teachers” campaign. A total of 154 awards, totaling $77,000, are being given this year throughout Arvest’s footprint.

The Arvest initiative to honor educators was launched on Sept. 13 and nominations were accepted via the Arvest Bank Facebook page. The winners in North Central Arkansas are:

· Alicia Morris, Harrison Kindergarten
· Megan Gibbs, Forest Heights Elementary
· Denise Collier, Skyline Heights Elementary
· Wes Whittaker, Valley Springs High School
· Pam Darnell, Yellville-Summit Elementary
· Audrey Treat, Yellville-Summit Elementary
· Daniel Stine, Ozark Mountain School District
· Sara Hammontree Boelkens, Mountain Home High School
· Wendy Spivey, Hackler Intermediate School
· Rhonda Brown, Arrie Goforth Elementary

“We love celebrating our teachers with the community and we are thrilled to recognize them in this way each year,” Arvest marketing manager, Jaren Beavers says. “We also want to salute all the hard-working teachers everywhere. Our goal is to make the communities we serve better and we know teachers do that on a daily basis by making a positive impact on their students.”
