Aspiring college students at Mountain Home High School will have more scholarship opportunities thanks to a $10,000 donation from the Arvest Foundation.

The grant was made to the Mountain Home Education Foundation and supports its Project Promise program. Project Promise is a scholarship program for Mountain Home High School graduates attending Arkansas State University – Mountain Home. The program funds the tuition gap after the application of all other grants and scholarships.

“We are pleased to present this donation on behalf of the Arvest Foundation and to support the work done by the Mountain Home Education Foundation,” says Mike Willard, a Mountain Home High School graduate and president for Arvest in North Central Arkansas. “Education is critical to building a strong community and we are grateful for the work the Mountain Home Education Foundation does to ensure local students receive a quality education.”

“This generous donation from the Arvest Foundation truly reflects their commitment to our students and community,” says Jennifer Seaman, executive director of the Mountain Home Education Foundation. “Project Promise is an initiative to increase our local workforce by removing barriers for post-secondary education and support for this project is a long-term investment in our local community.”
