The Mountain Home Chamber of Commerce will present the “Light Up the Night” holiday light competition again this year.
The chamber invites participants to “deck your home or business this Christmas season with lights, lawn ornaments, inflatables and more to help spread holiday cheer.”
Residential prize categories include The Griswold (because you can never have too many lights) and People’s Choice award. The Griswold award will be voted on by sponsors, while the public will have the opportunity to vote via text for the People’s Choice award. Commercial entrants will compete for the Best in Show Award, with the winner receiving a trophy, bragging rights and a donation to a charity of choice.
Residential prizes are sponsored by North Arkansas Electric Cooperative, with Elmcroft Senior Living of Mountain Home sponsoring the commercial category.
The contest is open to all residents and businesses in the city of Mountain Home. Registration is free, and the deadline to register is Dec. 4. Homes must be decorated by Dec. 7.
