An area man is facing life in prison without parole after being convicted of raping a female relative in Louisiana. According to Shreveport television station KSLA, 60-year-old Greg Alan Salard of Mountain View was found guilty of first-degree rape by a Caddo Parish jury.
Salard was reportedly residing in Caddo Parish at the time of the incidents. The Caddo Parish District Attorney’s Office says the jury determined between 2004 and 2005, he raped the 13-year-old relative. Salard also has prior convictions in 2016 for the sexual exploitation of a child and distribution and receipt of child pornography in the U.S. District Court for the District of Alaska.
Salard will face formal sentencing on Dec. 13.
