Three people have been arrested in Boone County for allegedly firing shots from a passing vehicle.

Chief Deputy Roy Martin says on Saturday afternoon about 4:30, the Boone County Sheriff’s Office received a report of what was first believed to be very loud fireworks being shot from a vehicle as it passed by a residence on Estes Road in the Batavia area.

The complainant reported being in his yard at the time with his children putting up Christmas lights when he heard the loud bangs. The complainant followed the suspects’ vehicle down Estes Road for some distance and provided information to law enforcement.

The suspects’ vehicle was met by an Arkansas State trooper as it turned onto U.S. Highway 62/65 north of Harrison. After a short pursuit, the vehicle stopped and three persons, which included one male juvenile, one male adult and one adult female were taken into custody.

A firearm and ammunition were discovered in the suspects’ vehicle, along with a quantity of illegal drugs. The firearm is believed to have been utilized in the act.

During the follow-up investigation, it was discovered that at least two rounds were fired from a large caliber weapon, as the suspects passed the complainant’s residence. No persons or structures were reported being struck by the rounds.

All three persons found in the suspect vehicle were charged with a number of felony-related weapons and drugs offenses.

The two adults were identified as Anthony Ray McClellan, who remains in custody with a $100,000 bond, and Chloe Elizabeth Wilson, whose bond was set at $25,000. Both are 19 years old and from Berryville. The juvenile involved in the case has been turned over to juvenile authorities.
