Two people were reportedly killed in a plane crash Sunday night in Fulton County near the Sharp County line.
KAIT reports Fulton County Sheriff Al Roork says the wreckage was located Monday morning.
The names and the genders of the two people have not been released. Sheriff Roork says the bodies were removed from the wreckage Monday.
The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board have been called to investigate the crash. Officials are expected to arrive at the site Tuesday.
Rescue crews from Fulton and Sharp counties were called around 5:30 Sunday night, after witnesses reported hearing and seeing a plane go down. Dense fog and nightfall made finding the plane difficult, leading to the search being called off between 1 and 2 Monday morning.
No information has been released about what type of plane was involved.
