1 killed, 1 seriously injured in southern Missouri crash

One person was killed and another seriously injured in a three-vehicle crash near West Plains Monday afternoon. The Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) identifies the victim as 26-year-old Bailey Pine of West Plains.

Injured in the crash and airlifted to Cox Medical Center South in Springfield was 77-year-old Michael Wall of Koshkonong.

The MHSP report indicates the crash occurred when a vehicle driven by Pine struck the rear of another vehicle and then crossed the center line and struck the vehicle driven by Wall. Pine’s vehicle then traveled off the highway and overturned. Pine was not wearing a seat belt.

The accident happened 1 mile south of West Plains on U.S Highway 63 at 4:59 Monday afternoon.
