BLOOMFIELD, Mo. (AP) — A southeast Missouri teenager has pleaded guilty for his role in the death of a man from Advance two years ago.

Evan Schrader, of Benton, pleaded guilty Monday to second-degree murder and first-degree robbery in the death of 61-year-old Robert Harwood, Stoddard County Prosecuting Attorney Russ Oliver said. The victim’s body was found inside his home in Advance in January 2020.

Oliver said the plea agreement did not include an agreement on possible sentencing. Schrader will be sentenced May 2, the Southeast Missourian reported.

Schrader was 15 at the time of the killing but was tried as an adult.

An adult male and another juvenile also were charged in Harwood’s death.
