Basketball makes up much of the local Saturday schedule, as four of Mountain Home’s junior high teams welcome Greene County Tech from Paragould. The eighth grade girls’ game tips off at 2 followed by the eighth grade boys and both freshman contests.
Two area junior high girls’ teams will be in Lynn for the Hillcrest Junior Tournament. Mammoth Spring meets Corning at 1:10, and Norfork faces Sloan-Hendrix at 2:20.
Mountain Home’s seventh graders have a short road trip, as they go up against Flippin. The girls’ game starts at 9:30 followed by the boys and junior varsity boys.
The Melbourne High School teams will compete for the championship of the George Kell Classic. The Lady Bearkatz take on Marmaduke at 6, and the Melbourne boys play Rector at 7:30.
