The Mountain Home School Board approved the 2022-2023 academic calendar in its monthly meeting Thursday evening.
The calendar was selected from two options based on votes received from both licensed and classified district personnel.
The approved calendar reflects the first day of school for students will be Aug. 22. Other highlights include Thanksgiving break from Nov. 23-25 and Christmas break from Dec. 22 through Jan. 3, 2023. Click here for the calendar.
The board also approved the purchase of over $341,000 in student technology devices. The purchase covers both 700 Chromebooks and 480 iPads. The funds would be reimbursed through a program administered by the Federal Communications Commission.
The annual school board legal and general liability policies were approved in Thursday’s meeting. The premiums for the policy renewals are $16,905 (school board/educators legal liability) and $541 (general liability), reflecting a total increase of $1,396 over last year.
