Water service has been restored to customers affected by the recent shutdown of the well on the west side of Gainesville. Those customers are under a boil advisory and may experience air as the lines fill.
According to the city’s Facebook, the well was damaged during the previous week due to a lightning strike. Flynn Drilling arrived Monday to get water service restored, and White River Valley Electric Cooperative came in after hours to restore power.
