The Mountain Home High School basketball teams wrapped up their two-game home stand on Tuesday by suffering their second straight sweep. Matt Sharp has the details.

The night began with the Lady Bombers falling to Greenbrier 46-42. Mountain Home controlled much of the first half, but the Lady Panthers starting mounting a comeback before halftime. The trend continued, as Greenbrier took the lead for good in the third quarter. The Lady Bombers attempted a comeback of their own late in the game, but they couldn’t overcome 15 turnovers compared to five for the Lady Panthers.
Amelia Rucker led Mountain Home with 16 points. Emma Rehm scored 23 for Greenbrier, and Alex Newland added 10.
The Lady Bombers fall to 4-15 on the season and 1-5 in the 5A-West. The Lady Panthers improve to 12-4 and 3-1.
The night wasn’t any better for Mountain Home’s boys, as they lost to Greenbrier 50-36. For the first three quarters, only two players were able to get in the scoring column for the Bombers. The Panthers put nine players on the floor, and every one of them was able to score at least one field goal. Greenbrier built a lead as big as 20 in the final period before going on to win by 14.
Mountain Home was led by Luke Proctor with 20 points, and Braiden Dewey chipped in 11. For the Panthers, Jack Runsick had 11 points, and Eli Weaver finished with 10.
The Bombers drop to 2-16 overall and 0-6 in the league. Greenbrier is now 11-7 and 2-3.
Mountain Home will wrap up the first half of conference play Friday with a trip to Alma.
