One precautionary boil water order in the area was issued Friday afternoon, while a second one was lifted.
Customers of the Lakeview Midway Public Water Authority from the Bull Shoals White River State Park campground in Lakeview to the end of River Road are under a boil order. The area includes River Road and includes Gunga la Lodge, Double L, Whisper Cove, Springhill, River Keep, CR 276, Carman, Walnut Tree and CR 574.
Under the boil order, all impacted customers are advised their water may be unsafe for human consumption. Water used for drinking or food preparation should be boiled briskly for one minute prior to use. All ice cubes should be discarded and only boiled water used for making ice.
The Lakeview Midway Public Water Authority says it will notify customers affected when the order has been lifted.
A boil order for a portion of Calico Rock Waterworks was lifted Friday afternoon, according to the Arkansas Department of Health website. The impacted area was from Arkansas Highway 5 to Garden Street on State Highway 56 East.
The order was issued as a precautionary measure because of the possibility contaminated water may have entered the distribution system following a loss in normal pressure earlier this week. The loss of pressure was due to a water line break.
