The Arkansas Department of Health (ADH) has issued a boil order for the entire Fifty Six Waterworks system.

According to the agency’s website, the order for the system in Stone County was issued Monday afternoon due to a construction-related break.

The ADH website also indicates a precautionary boil water order issued Friday in the Lakeview area remains in place.

Customers of the Lakeview Midway Public Water Authority from the Bull Shoals White River State Park campground in Lakeview to the end of River Road are under the boil order. The area includes River Road and includes Gunga la Lodge, Double L, Whisper Cove, Springhill, River Keep, CR 276, Carman, Walnut Tree and CR 574.

The Lakeview Midway Public Water Authority says it will notify customers affected when the order has been lifted.

Under the boil orders, all impacted customers are advised their water may be unsafe for human consumption. Water used for drinking or food preparation should be boiled briskly for one minute prior to use. All ice cubes should be discarded and only boiled water used for making ice.
