Harrison High School has hired a new head football coach. Former Goblins assistant Chris Keylon has been hired by the Harrison School Board to succeed Joel Wells who announced last month he was stepping down as head coach.

Keylon was the defensive coordinator at Harrison before becoming head coach at Riverview High School in Searcy last year. He took over a team that went winless in 2020 and led them to a 5-6 record and an appearance in the playoffs, earning him the 3A-2 Conference Coach of the Year honors.

Keylon played collegiately at Austin Peay University.

Wells, a member of the Missouri Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame, had a record of 61-21 in his seven seasons at Harrison.
