Area man injured after pickup truck goes airborne

A Fulton County man was seriously injured after his pickup truck went airborne late Monday afternoon in southern Missouri. Seventy-five-year-old George Ingram of Salem was transported by air ambulance to Cox Medical Center South in Springfield.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Ingram was traveling on U.S. Highway 63 in Oregon County. He was nearly 2 miles north of Thayer when his truck traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck an embankment, went airborne and overturned. Ingram was reportedly not wearing a seat belt.

Ingram’s truck was totaled in the 4:40 p.m. accident.
