A Mountain Home man appeared in Baxter County Circuit Court Monday, pled guilty to drug-related charges and was put on probation for 120 months.

Thirty-one-year-old Tommy Dwight Gattis will also enter a residential addiction treatment facility in Eureka Springs, according to his lawyers, Emily Reed of Mountain Home and Gray Dellinger of Melbourne.

If Gattis does not complete the program, which can last up to a year, he will be returned to jail.

A petition to revoke Gattis’ probation handed down in an early 2018 drug-related case was dismissed by the state.

Gattis’ current charges stem from a traffic stop early this year in which methamphetamine and eight syringes were found in his vehicle when it was searched.

A substance discovered during the search field-tested positive for methamphetamine.

The 2018 arrest stemmed from a home visit officers made to the residence of probationer Rebecca Bryniarski on Bryniarski Lane.

Gattis was identified as her then live-in boyfriend.

Officers found drugs and drug paraphernalia in the residence, including a bag of suspected methamphetamine hidden in a child’s toy box.

The toy box also contained a number of Clonazepam pills and two sets of digital scales.

Gattis was charged with possession of drugs and paraphernalia used to ingest drugs and endangering the welfare of a minor.

He was put on probation for five years after pleading guilty on July 19, 2018.
