A Mountain Home woman, serving as the leader of the Dora 4-H Club, has received the organization’s highest honor among Missouri’s volunteers. Paula Bodenhamer was given the Frank Graham Leadership Award, created to recognize 4-H volunteers for hard work and dedication to youth in the Show Me State.
Bodenhamer became the first 4-H volunteer in Ozark County to receive the award. She tells the Ozark County Times she has been leading Dora’s program for the past 17 years to give younger siblings of FFA students an opportunity to participate in agriculture.
Bodenhamer is one of 60 volunteers recognized for her commitment and leadership to the University of Missouri Extension 4-H Youth Development Program. 4-H is part of the extension service and publicly supported by, state and federal governments and private resources.
