The Arkansas Department of Health issued a boil order for one part of Mountain View Waterworks in Stone County and lifted an order for another part of the same system.
The newest order went into effect Friday morning for the area around Ledges Road. The boil order was issued due to a water line break.
Mountain View Waterworks’ boil order for the Tubbs Subdivision was lifted Friday afternoon. That order had also been in effect for a water line break.
Two more area boil orders remain in effect due to main breaks. Lakeview-Midway Public Water Authority’s order in Baxter County for the area including Lakeview Cove Place was issued Wednesday, and the order for the entire Guion Water Department system in Izard County has been in effect since July 21.
All affected customers of current boil orders are advised the water may be unsafe for human consumption, and water used for drinking or food preparation must be boiled briskly for one minute prior to use. All ice cubes should be discarded and only boiled water used for making ice.
