17 graduates awarded Operation Round Up scholarships

North Arkansas Electric Cooperative’s Operation Round Up program awarded scholarships to 17 high school graduates for the 2022-2023 school year.

The following students will receive a one-time scholarship of $1,000.

Alexander Jordan, Amber Weber, Kaylee Drake and Rachel Howald from the Mountain Home School District;
Weston Cox from the Mountain Home Christian Academy;
Madison Hall, Norfork School District;
Isabella Hall, Calico Rock School District;
Ashlynn Sanders, Cassidy Walling and Jaycie Strong from the Salem School District;
Annie Blevins and Harrison Gillihan from the Melbourne School District;
Julie Hurst from the Mammoth Spring School District; and
Chloe Jamora, Homeschool.

In addition, the Operation Round Up Board of Trustees awarded each Joia Traver of the Mountain Home School District and Zane Fountain of Calico Rock School District a $4,000 scholarship.
They will receive $1,000 annual installments for up to four years.

Members may help fund future scholarships by enrolling their account in Operation Round Up. Monthly electric bills would be “rounded up” to the nearest dollar.

Since the program’s inception, more than $207,000 in college scholarships, grants and disaster relief funds have been awarded.
