A man is in the Fulton County Detention Center on accusations of raping a child on multiple occasions. Twenty-six-year-old Cody Redding is charged with 14 counts of rape and two counts each of sexually grooming a child and sexual indecency with a child. All charges are felonies.

According to the probable cause affidavit, the victim told the grandmother on Wednesday of an inappropriate game being played with Redding. The child then went into further details during an interview with investigators from the Arkansas State Police’s Crimes Against Children Division in Craighead County.

Later, Redding was interviewed by investigators with the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office and the Crimes Against Children Division. Redding reportedly corroborated the victim’s account and admitted to performing the acts on nearly 14 occasions for approximately a year-and-a-half.

The rape charges are Class Y felonies, the most serious classification of crime in Arkansas not punishable by death. Redding’s bond is set at $350,000.
