Parade, horse and swine show, Jerry Hopper Band highlight Wednesday’s BC Fair activities

The annual fair parade through downtown Mountain Home highlights Wednesday’s events for the 95th annual Baxter County Fair.The parade is set to begin at 5:30 p.m. and will start at Long Chiropractic at 506 Hospital Drive and will be led by the Baxter County Fair Queen, Haylee Silzell, the daughter of Tom and Leann Silzell of Mountain Home. It will make it’s way down Highway 5 and then turn onto Main Street, proceeding past the Baxter County Courthouse. Those expected to take part are asked to arrive between 4:30 and 5. Check in for poultry and rabbits will be from 9 to 6, with livestock check in starting at noon until 4. Swine showing will begin at 6 at the Livestock Show Area.

Immediately following the parade, the horse show will begin at the Saddle Club Arena.

Carnival, commercial booths, food vendors, and exhibits will open at 5 and remain open until 9.

Wednesday night’s musical act, Jerry Hopper Band, will perform from 7-9 on the fairgrounds’ outdoor stage.

Admission to the fair is $5 and children 5 and under are free.
