Thursday is senior citizens and veterans day at the 95th annual Baxter County Fair.
Seniors 65 and older will receive free admission, courtesy of Troy Garland Insurance. To receive a pass, call 870-425-0303.
Veterans will also receive free admission courtesy of Jim Brown Co. Complimentary tickets will be available at the gate.
Thursday events start with a showing of dairy cattle and dairy goats at the Livestock Show Arena at 9.
Commercial booths and exhibits open at 10, with molasses cooking demonstrations happening the full day next to the food booths.
From 10:30 – 12:30, seniors can participate in the senior bingo bash at the indoor stage.
All throughout the day, there will be a variety of livestock shows at the Livestock Show Arena.
The carnival will run from 5 until close.
Thursday night’s entertainment includes 9N Band on the outdoor stage, from 7 – 9.
Admission to the fair is $5 and children 5 and under are free.
