In addition to athletes, teams and coaches, the MHHS Athletic Hall of Honor traditionally recognizes others that contribute or show support for Bomber athletics. That trend will continue when local businessman and Bomber Booster Foundation President Brad Hasselwander gets enshrined at this weekend’s banquet.
Hasselwander has been the chief executive officer at Auto Services Company since 1999. One of the things he helped pave the way was the purchase of the former Riverlakes Lanes bowling alley and converting it into the Auto Services Company and Rob and Nicki Finley Indoor Sports Facility in 2015.
Listen:
Hasselwander is one of the founding members of the Bomber Booster Foundation. During his tenure, he has helped raise funds for several projects, including McClain Park, considered by many as one of the finest high school baseball and softball complexes in the area. In addition, one of the earliest projects was the installation of the artificial field turf at Bomber Stadium.
Listen:
Hasselwander is a graduate of the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville with a bachelor of science in finance. He and his family relocated to Mountain Home, and he went to work for People’s Bank and Trust, currently First Security Bank, before moving onto Auto Services Company. He also has several other business ventures throughout other parts of the United States.
Hasselwander attributes the bulk of his success to the employees and friends around him. He also emphasizes the importance of giving back to the community, and this is one way to do it.
Listen:
Hasselwander will be honored during the MHHS Athletic Hall of Honor Banquet Saturday in the high school cafeteria. The reception begins at noon, and the banquet and lunch will be an hour later. For tickets, contact the Mountain Home athletic office at 870-425-1285.
