Charleston tops conference foe Booneville for Class 3A title

Arkansas’ last state championship for the high school football season was decided between a pair of conference foes, but it ended up being one-sided. Charleston won the Class 3A title after dominating Booneville 41-12.

The Tigers’ top rusher was Brevyn Ketter with 14 carries for 137 yards and two touchdowns. Brandon Scott was 13-of-20 for 130 passing yards and two scores, and he also ran the ball 12 times for 101 yards and two touchdowns.

For the Bearcats, Peyton Tatum had 12 rushes for 94 yards, Cody Elliott had 12 carries for 89 yards, and Daxton Goff ran the ball 12 times for 79 yards and two touchdowns.

Charleston’s final record is 14-1. Booneville falls to 12-3.
