Boone County man arrested for stabbing man after altercation

A Boone County man has been charged with battery after he stabbed another man in an altercation.

According to the probable cause affidavit, the Harrison Police Department were dispatched to a residence in response to a disturbance.

Upon arrival, the victim told law enforcement he let 28-year-old Norman Hardesty borrow his vehicle the prior day. He then learned of some criminal activity Hardesty was involved in while using his vehicle. When confronted, the two began to argue.

During the argument, Hardesty brandished a blade and stabbed the victim in the upper left pectoral region of his chest, causing a wound approximately two inches across and one inch deep. After the victim was stabbed, Hardesty allegedly fled the scene.

Hardesty was booked into the Boone County Detention Center and released on $50,000 bond.
