A new program in Marion County is helping parents and families of students in grades K-12 with digital literacy.
The Marion County Digital Literacy program is a free certificate program to teach basic computer and internet skills. It will provide both workforce development and the ability to aide students with their own studies.
Over the course of five days, participants will learn basic computer skills, internet basics, Microsoft Word, and how to support K-12 learning. Each session is 90 minutes and are held in the computer lab at Yellville-Summit High School. It is not necessary to complete the courses in consecutive days, participants can attend courses any evening they are offered during the spring semester.
