Nearly 6 1/2 months after the body of a Fulton County Sheriff’s Office employee was found in the driveway of her residence, two men are in custody in connection with her death. Forty-nine-year-old Harvey John Taylor of Elizabeth and Thomas G. Sanchez, whose age and address were not available, are both charged with first-degree murder.

The Arkansas State Police reported the body of 57-year-old Kristy Marie Taylor being found dead with gunshots in her driveway on Farmwood Road, southwest of Salem, at around 6 on the evening of July 9. She had worked at the sheriff’s office for a number of years, and she also drove a bus for the Viola School District.

According to Sheriff Jake Smith, Harvey Taylor was located Monday evening at a residence in Fulton County. Deputies arrived at the residence, took him into custody and originally booked him in the Fulton County Jail. Due to Kristy Taylor’s employment with the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office, Harvey Taylor was transported to the Baxter County Detention Center.

Sanchez has reportedly been in the custody of the U.S. Marshal Service in Texas for the last few weeks. He is currently awaiting extradition.

Bond for Sanchez and Harvey Taylor is set at $1 million each.
