The Mountain Home ELKS Lodge #1714 held its local ELKS Hoop Shoot contest Saturday at Mountain Home Junior High School.

Bailor Tate took the boys’ title among ages 12 and 13 after hitting 23 out of 25 free throws. Davin Reasons made 15 to finish second.
Newton Bennett hit 16 of 25 free throws to win the 10-and-11 boys’ championship. Finley Maxey was second after falling to Bennett by two free throws.

Sophia Kaminski topped the 10-and-11-year-old girls’ division after making 19 of 25 at the line. Ayleigh Henry ended up second with 15 made free throws.

The 8-and-9-year-old boys needed an extra shootout after two competitors went 19 of 25. Daxtyn Small later hit 12 free throws to get past Noah Howerton by two.

Emma Campbell won the 8-and-9 girls’ title after hitting 11 of 25 free throws. Hadi Kellum was second with three free throws made.
The winners will advance to compete at the district level.
