On Wednesday, residents in the Twin Lakes area interested in running for local school boards were able to file for their candidacy.
In Mountain Home, Position 6 on the Mountain Home Public School Board of Education is vacant after incumbent Neal Pendergrass announced he would not be seeking re-election.
Wednesday, Stewart Rogers announced his candidacy for Position 6. Rogers spoke with KTLO’s Heather Loftis to discuss why he chose to run for the school board.

The filing period for the May 9 election closes at noon March 1.
