
Three local residents were injured and transported by ambulance to Baxter Health, and a Baxter County man was charged with driving while intoxicated following a two-vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon in Ozark County. Forty-two-year-old Arthur Acklin of Clarkridge and 60-year-old Christina Grayden of Zanoni suffered moderate injuries, and 63-year-old Edward Grayden of Zanoni had minor injuries.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Acklin was traveling on Missouri Route J. He was nearly 5 1/2 miles south of Hardenville when his vehicle crossed the center line on a hillcrest and collided head-on with another vehicle driven by Edward Grayden and occupied by Christina Grayden.
Acklin is facing charges of felony DWI (physical injury), driving while license is revoked and careless and imprudent driving resulting in an accident. Both vehicles were totaled in the 1:40 p.m. accident.
