On Monday, a brush fire along County Road 4 in rural Gassville caused damage to approximately 60 acres of land.
According to Gassville Fire Chief Michael Glotzl, a property owner was burning his own land when the fire began to spread and become out of control. The Arkansas Forestry Division assisted with the blaze with the use of two bulldozers. The Gassville Fire Department also had assistance from Cotter-Gassville Rural Fire Department, Cotter Fire Department and Buford Fire Department.
There were no reports of structural damage or injuries.
