
The U.S. Forest Service has announced the hiring of a new district ranger for a local portion of the Ozark-St. Francis National Forests. Ron Hollis will serve as the ranger for the Sylamore Ranger District office in Mountain View.
Hollis is a native Arkansan returning to the Natural State after serving as the refuge manager for Canaan Valley National Wildlife Refuge in Davis, West Virginia. He has spent 19 years of his career with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service as a project leader, refuge manager, and deputy project leader.
