Mountain Home won its opener in the Ozark Softball Classic Friday at the Equity Bank Sports Complex in Harrison. The Lady Bombers defeated Rogers Heritage 8-5.
Emma Crabb picked up the victory in the circle as she recorded eight strikeouts. Kiley Horne went 2-for-2 with a walk, Laken Anderson was 1-for-3 with three RBIs, and Olivia Crabb also went 1-for-3.
Mountain Home remains unbeaten in five games on the season, and they’ll continue on the winners’ side Saturday morning at 11:15 as they meet Beebe at Ramsey Field.
Harrison was able to breeze past Warsaw, Missouri, by a final of 13-3. The Lady Goblins will face Tuckerman Saturday morning at 9:30 at Cornerstone Field.
Salem’s softball team was able to get a win at home. The Lady Greyhounds got past Mountain View 8-6.
In baseball, Cotter notched a victory at Marty Hall Field. The Warriors defeated Marshall by a score of 18-2.
Gainesville was able to win its baseball season opener. Gainesville routed another group of Bulldogs from Cabool 13-3.
Salem joined their softball counterparts in getting a win on the baseball diamond. The Greyhounds topped Mountain View 18-10.
Bergman was swept at home in a doubleheader by Valley Springs. The Panthers fell to the Tigers 12-5 and 18-8.
